Ground Rules for Training
The ELCofSWFL has composed a set of rules which all trainers who train for the Early Learning Coalition will implement. We ask that you read these rules and follow them as well. We want to honor those of you who have followed them all along, and put them in writing to reinforce their importance. Please note: If you are not able to attend a training for which you have registered, you need to call the training entity at (239) 935-6189 and let them know. CEUs are offered through IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training). This requires that recipients be on time for the class, an assessment will be required at the end of the class and an evaluation must be filled out. The CEUs are recognized nationally.
Frame Their Learning Series, Engage and Enrich: Advanced Vocabulary and Effective Questioning Session 2: Spark Science and Nurturing Early Math with Frame Their Learning
Session 2: Spark Science and Nurturing Early Math with Frame Their Learning Young children have a natural inclination toward inquiry and curiosity, which are crucial abilities that aid them in exploring, understanding, and making sense of their surroundings.
We will also discuss fun and educational math activities for children. We'll cover counting, patterns, shapes, sorting, and spatial relationships. Teachers can create a math and scientific focused environment that encourages learning through play by asking questions and using advanced vocabulary.
This Frame Their Learning session presents intentional questioning techniques to ensure that children fully engage in activities such as experimenting, making predictions, commenting on real-life experiences, and adding mathematical concepts. This will provide repeated opportunities for children to discover and learn scientific principles, attributes, and characteristics that will spark their curiosity while increasing their language and vocabulary.
